Stardew Valley set the standard for the cozy game: a warm, unhurried loop you can sink a hundred hours into without ever feeling rushed. We scored it an 8.9, and if you have wrung it dry and want that same feeling somewhere new, here are five cozy games we have played and reviewed, ranked by our scores. Some are close cousins in the farming-and-life-sim mold; others just share the warmth.

Moonlight Peaks (7.8)

The closest in spirit to Stardew here: a charming, genuinely distinctive nocturnal life sim with a fresh premise and a lovely town to settle into. If you want the farm-and-community loop with a gentle gothic twist, start with this one.

Coffee Talk Tokyo (7.7)

A cozy game of a different shape: you run a late-night cafe and listen. Its character writing and presentation are excellent, and it delivers the same low-stakes, warm-hearted evenings, just told through conversation and coffee rather than crops.

Ova Magica (7.6)

A charming cozy JRPG built around a brilliant blob-breeding hook, with a warm world that recalls Stardew's rhythm crossed with a little monster-taming. The nearest thing here to farming plus creatures in one loop.

Lured In (7.2)

A small, well-priced cozy idler that nails a relaxing loop and mood, and backs it with thoughtful accessibility. Not as deep as Stardew, but perfect for winding down for an hour at a time.

Cat Mail Co. (7.2)

A charming, genuinely relaxing sorting sim about running a feline postal service. It runs a little short on depth, but for a few cozy hours the loop is a delight, and it is hard not to smile at.

How we picked

Every game here is one we played and reviewed ourselves, and the scores are our own. We flagged which are true farming-and-life-sims and which are simply cozy in the same spirit, because honesty about the fit matters more than pretending they are all Stardew clones.
